RTS Opens Inspection Facility in the Permian Basin

MIDLAND, TX, Nov. 16, 2016 – Rod and Tubing Services, LLC (“RTS”), a leading oilfield production services company specializing in the lifecycle management of tubing and sucker rods, opened its newest facility in Midland, TX. The new location offers comprehensive tubing inspection, reconditioning, repair and inventory management services to oil and gas operators in the Permian Basin.

“The opening of our Midland inspection facility represents an important milestone in RTS’s expansion, bringing our unique combination of expert inspection services and proprietary downhole analytics to the best operators in the largest onshore oilfield in the U.S.,” said Daniel Williams, RTS’s CEO.

Drilling and completing an oil well in the Permian Basin can cost up to $7 million with production expected to decline rapidly in the first 36 months. To maximize investment returns–particularly in a low oil price environment–operators must focus on reducing both operating costs and premature well failures. “RTS’s inspection services enable the cost-effective redeployment of used material and the removal of impaired material. But what really differentiates RTS is our data collection and reporting tools, which help customers diagnose downhole issues and improve production efficiency,” said Williams.

“Since 1997, RTS has prided itself on staying at the forefront of innovation and being a value-add partner for leading energy companies in South and East Texas,” said Joseph Saliba, RTS’s President & COO. Two years ago, RTS created Hawkeye DMSTM, a proprietary data management system, to address the needs of both production engineers and supply chain personnel seeking real-time access to inventory and inspection data. The Company also features an in-house engineering advisory group that offers tailored analytical support for its customers. “Our Midland facility will serve as a major regional headquarters for RTS where we will offer our full suite of services that enable the close collaboration of engineering, operations and supply chain personnel. We plan to be in the Permian for a very long time,” said Saliba.

RTS is grateful to all of its customers, employees and financial partners who have contributed to the Company’s continued growth and success.
